Max Eckersley is a keen racing enthusiast. He has enjoyed his time in karting, but it’s now time for the next challenge. So in 2026 Max will line up in the 2026 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Australia (TGRA) scholarship series with Apogee Motorsport.

EVENT 1- On 14 March, Max competed in the first event of the series at WINTON RACEWAY.  Max did extremely well in practice, he gained personal bests for laps.  During qualifying, Max pushed hard and unfortunately, hit a wall. The mechanics worked hard to get the car repaired in time for the race, unfortunately however, it was too badly damaged. I applaud Apogee for trying.

EVENT 2 – On 16 May, Max competed at THE BEND in South Australia.  What a great track! (if you haven’t been there, it is a must see just for the car display at the track!).  Max did well, although he had a few electrical issues with the car.  Scan the code below to view video snippets from the race.

EVENT 3 – On 13 June, Max competed at ONE RACEWAY in NSW. He was consistent and drove well.

EVENT 4 – on 25 July, Max completed at SYDNEY MOTORSPORT PARK in NSW. He did well, improved a few positions.

EVENT 5 – on 29 August at QUEENSLAND RACEAY Max completed in the last race of the series. Unfortunately, it wasn’t his day.
